July 19th Tuesday
Clear and very warm today. Issued three day rations. Saw Watson Chambers who was wounded by a shell yesterday. His right leg was amputated below the knee. About five olcock had order to be ready to move. It is said that we are going to Harpers Ferry. The rebel force was seen moving in that direction all day. Got started about 8 oclock. Got half way down the mountain towards _____. Then got order to turn around and park where we started from. Had to go to the foot of the mountain to turn around. When we got there was ordered to park _____ _____.
