June 21st Tuesday
Clear, very warm and dusty. Went to the front and issued one days light rations, two days potatos[sic], bean, rice, cabbage ___ ___ and dried apples also ___ and pepper. Got through just at dusk about the time we got through the whole corps moved. It is said they are going to the extreme left. On our way in to park we passed a division of dismounted negro cavalry and part of the eighteenth corps going to the left. Got in park about 8 oclock.
