30th Saturday
Clear and very hot today
when I woke up this morning
was suprised at the place
where I had laid for
I had slept in a wheelbarrow,
& slept very sound.
Started across the river
went back to Weaverton, could
not find the train so started
back and found them on
the mountain. back of Sandy
hook. orders for three days
rations & go at the head of
the train. Started about
eight oclock. recrossed the
river and found the brigade
about four mile from the
ferry. Just got through
crossing when the bugle
called. the pack. We are
