Left home at noon with Capt M.C. Holford enroute for Charleston South Carolina.
Fitts Bradford and Emerson were on the train arriving in Newark & stopped to see
Maggie I arrived in New York at half past seven stopped at the merchant Hotel
went up to avenue D. saw Wm. Dewey spent the evening with him.
