Jan 29th, Friday.
Clear and very warm today. Issued three days rations. Went around
to the Regimen~·with a circular oridering all condemned commissary property
to be sent to Alexandria for repair. Got a dose of castor oil at the
Regimental Hospital. It made me quite sick.
30th, Saturday.
Cloudy and misty today. Issued two days soft bread. Saw Caharline (?)
Simpson who returned last night. He has been to the hospital in washington
since we first went to Warrenton. There was about twenty ~ convalesence
returned to the Brigade last night.
