27th, Wensday.
Clear and very warm today. Did not issue anything today. Very dull
and lonesome. Captain and Quartermaster went a fishing today. John
Armstrong shot an owl near here.
28th, Thursday.
Clear and very warm today. Supply t~ain did not go out. Ordered to
move the officers tent up in the barn so the Captain could enlarge his
place. Received a letter from Samuel Sidman. Bought a splint brrom off
Tom Taylor of my company.
