31st, Thursday today Issued two days rations. Supply train went to the station. The fourth Regt for muster. Reported to Col. Penrose. (but) did not get off. Went to t e eg o Sat up until twelve oclock. At that time the Brigade band commenced to play. There was also loud cheering. About eleven oclock orders came to be ready to move at a moments notice. One to go to Harpers Ferry to check the rebel General Early who is trying to cut the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road. Coinlemute got back about twelve oclock has been on furlough.
