11th, Friaay. Cloudy but no rain today. Issued two days rations. Issued potatoes. Supply train went to the station and drew carrots, turnips, and potatoes. We are getting soft bread nearly every day. Furlough are being granted again. Went over to the 2nd Regiment in the afternoon. I wrote a letter to mother.
12th Saturday. Cloudy with light rain today. Got my orders to be a clerk in the office. My duties are to write orders and attend to the office. Wrote another letter to mother. Issued more vegetables.
