Dec. 13th, Sunday. Clear and pleasant today . but very muddy. It rained very hard durimgg last night. Issued two days rations. No busfness done in the office today. Capt. Fith received a leave of absence for ten days. He leaves for home tomorrow.

14th, Monday. Clear and pleasanttoday. Was ordered back to the issusing department today. Sergt. Walker of Co. D, 3rd Regt NJ Vol is detailed as a clerk in the office. He came today. Capt. Fith does not go until tomorrow morning. The Third Corps moved today. They went to Stevnsburg. It is rumored that we are going to move. It is said back to Warrenton.
