Dec. lOth, Thursday Clear and pleasant today. In the morning issued some onions, potatoes, molasses and pork. In the afternoon helped in the office. Coates went to the station and was introduced to the clerk. I was presented with a finger ring today. It is solid silver and has the initials of my name on top. Are through with the monthly papers. The nights are very cold now. The ring was presented to me by Co. (not give company) 2nd Regiment N.J. Vol.
