8th Tuesday. It was very cold last night. Clear and pleasant today. Have been in the office all day.
9th Wednesday. Clear and pleasant today. In the morning issued two days rations. In the afternoon was in the officer helping to get up the monthly papers. There is an order out regulating the number of men allowed in the different departments. One of our guards was sent back to his company. Sergt. John Silveria is detailed as Capt. Fith's clerk. Wrn. J. Miller is our office clerk and John Coates is drawing clerk.
