2nd, Wednesday. Clear and pleasant today. About nine oclock had orders to hitch up and be ready to move at a moments notice. War hooked up all day and about six oclock we got started. Went very slow at first but after we got fairly started went on a run for three or four miles. When we parked in an old field. It was not as cold last night as it was the night before. Before we started today the road was jammed full of trains and infantry. We are going to resume our old camps near Brandy Station. The reserve artillery train was along side of us in the road tonight.
