Dec 1, Tuesday. It was extremely cold last night but clear and pleasant today. Last night war a heavy white frost. About half past ten oclock we got orders to move. Got off about eleven and came back to the place where we had supper on the 27th. It is about two miles. Got there about twelve. About four we got orders to unhitch the mules and stay all night. We are parked along side of a pine woods under a big tree. The boys are having fine fun foraging here. I saw several with a sheep each. Others with chicken and beef
