28th Saturday. Cloudy and rainy in the morning. About noon we wal5i ordered to go to the front with three days rations. Started about one oclock. Crossed the rapid at Elyrford and river about half a mile from the park. Crossed on a pontoon bridge. After we got across we took a new road through the woods, after going about four miles we struck a plank road. Went about three miles on that then we turned to the right on a turnpike and went about five miles on that. The Plank road was the Chancellorsville and Fredericksburg road and the turnpike was the Gordonsville and Culpeper road. We passed through robinsonville. The roads are awful the most of the time tbe wheels war up to the hub. Got to our brigade about three oclock in the morning.
