Nov. 26th Thursday. got up at ahout four oclock. Did not get started until seven oclock. Went back to Brandy Station and crossed the railroad about a mile above the station. After crossing the railroad went about half miie Stopped in an open field. Did not unhook the team. All of the guards that wa~ with the train was made t o stand post around the wagon. It is expected that we will be attacked by guerrillas. The roads are very bad ahead. There war a great lot of Sutler goods at the station. They war selling them as fast they could for they had no transportation for them. About ten oclock the teams was ordered to be unhooked and fed but no to take the harness off.
