Nov. 15th Sunday. Woke up this morning and found that it raining very hard. Between eight and nine oclock and while it was raining the hardest I've heard some very heavy cannonading. Issued two days rations and sold to officer in the morning. In the afternoon it clearerl off very nice. Heard that the cannonading was at Racoon Ford on the Rapidan River. It is rummored that we took nearly a brigade of Rebels and some pieces of artillery had orders to be ready to move at a moments notice. Had a good wash and put on clean clothes.
