31st Saturday woke up this morning and found it raining quite hard had to go to brigade headquarters and report to Gen . Torbert for muster. Officer sales was very brisk this morning . In the after noon had to take a sales wagon in town for the officers of the third regiment Wilson the sutler of the regt had just got in and supplied them and so they did not want much saw Col . Morford and Lewis Cochran in town. got back about five pM. bought a case of tobacco for twenty five dollars. Capt. Aaronson arrived today with goods. He brought me a keg of butter which i intend to sell. about noon it cleared off. towards night it got quite cold.
