19th Monday

during the night and early this morn-
ing the wind blew a perfect gale

soon after daylight it commenced

to rain lightly but soon cleared

off. about six we got orders to

be ready to move. got started

about eight A.M. took the road to

the station but turned off before we

got them. and took the centerville

road arrived on the heights about

two. Stopped to get dinner did not

need the teams. I think that these

heights are the strongest position

that I ever saw there is a line of

rifle pits the whole length of the
heights and a fort for every letter
in the alphabet. Stayed about five
hours when we moved on and crossed
____ and cub run streams parked
went a mile after rain for a time.
