18th Sunday
Clear and pleasant today
went down to the brook and had a
good wash and put on clean clothes
Crew two barrels of whiskey and
five hundred leaves Bread to take
out tomorrow for sales to officers
in the afternoon. the train was
ordered to repark in the form of
a hallow square and put up the team
all inside holes being put up from
one wagon to the other. It is thought

that the guerillas intend to take

a raid on our trains. Towards

night very heavy and rapid cannonading was heard. It appeared

to be between Centreville and

the station and not very far off

Capt Fith sold his big gray

horse today to Major Ewing of

the Fourth Regt
