12th Monday after parking at night we laid with twelve olcock when we was ordered to get up and go on as soon as possible. traveled untill day light at which time we arrived at and parked near bealton station the road was some better than what we traveled before laid still all day. the regimental wagon came up during the day. the troops all went across the river again. It is expected that they will be a heavy battle there tomorrow. during the afternoon and evening there was some heavy cannonading. went to bed about nine olcock. Then the cannonading had not stopped yet.
