as fast as possible. went about
half a mile when we was ordered
to park again for the night
there is a good deal of cannon-
ading going on in our rear. ,
Our brigade is in the rear. The
regimental and hospital wagons
that we left with the brigade have
got up in with us as had also Capt
Fith Lieut. Bradford and all of
the clerks. there has been nearly
a dozen trains of cars passed us
today all going towards washing-
ton. the most of them were loaded
It is said that the rebels ar.e
following up our men very closely
It is now nine PM and we can
hear cannonading yet.
