11th Sunday Clear and pleasant today traveled all last night and very bad roads we had more break down in our train than i ever saw before it was very cold riding passed through brnady station at about daylight. near this place we saw the remains of two govern- ment wagons that had been run in to in the night. the wagon was broken up badly. two mules killed and one badly cut up and one man killed. Crossed the river at Rapahannock the river here is narrmv and not very deep. went about one mile after we crossed and then stopped to water and feed the teams and get dinner. After dinner moved about one mile parked again as we supposed for the night but about dark orders came to hook up and get out
