Oct 8th Thursday Started in the morning and went to Mitchell Station on the cars. got back about noon. brought back some fresh meat for the teamster and that the hospital got an order from Lieut Bradford and drew fresh bread at the commissary depot here cloudy but no rain today at night went to the hospital and got a dose of salt. there is to be a man shot belonging to the fourth regt It is to take place tomorrow It is for desertion. I have not yet learned his name nor company
