May 7 Sunday
Clear and pleasant No news of interest. Moved my tent from Headquarters to the supply train have been busy all day issuing and sales have been heavy.
May 8 Monday
Clear and pleasant No news of importance. Plenty of camp rumors. Went to the depot. I understand that the disposition of our division is as follows 2nd Brigade at Southerland Station. 12 miles this side of Petersburg. It is understood that Div. Hd. Q' s will be at Sutherland Station
