May 2 Tuesday
Clear and very pleasant Six days mail arrived t oday[ .] I received a paper[.] The 2nd Brigade and part of the 3rd got off today on the cars All of our train went this morning. Issued one days rations.
May 3 Wednesday
Clear and pleasant. The balance of the 3rd Brigade left today. Our Brigade and Div. Headquarters are expected to get off tomorrow[.] went to Corps Hd qur and in the town. Drew and issued one days rations drew hard Bread of Lieut ___ 3 Brig., 2 Div. Jersey Band here tonight.
