April 6 Thursday
Started about five this morning traveled all day. Roads very bad about six o'clock p.m. we came up to our brigade Issued them three days rations and turned over to the fifth corps three days the division is five miles ahead started for it after feeding Some rain today
April 7 Friday
Marched all last night and came out near Burkville or the Junction found we was on the wrong road. Had turned around to go back when the train that we left in park came up fell in with it and parked near the Junction Saw about twenty thousand prisoners and five general officers. Reloaded the train to start to the front.
