(June 26th Friday continued) General Sedgwicks headquarters in the tavern at Dramsville. There is plenty of cherries along the road. I had all that i could eat. This is quite a nice country. The only difficulty is that water is so scarce. We have to go about three quarters of a mile to get good water. It was the [illegible] while we laid at Fairfax court house and station. at night tapped a barrel of whiskey for officers sales. 27th Saturday packed up about six AM but did not get started untill [sic] nearly Eight. Our wagons was the last of the train and our brigade was the last. Making a rear Guard for the whole army today i had all the cherries
