(15th Monday) staid back with him. The teams was watered here staid about one hour Here we overtook the Division train. traveled all day only stopping once to water the teams. It has been very hot and the dust is about six inches deep. Crossed Wolf run river about three PM and parked about half a mile from Fairfax Station. about six PM this afternoon i got tired of riding and let Corperal [sic] Collins have my horse. I sat down twice [illegible] to rest and fell asleep both times. Came very near getting left both times. I found that traveling two days and two nights with only two meals and no sleep is no very nice [illegible]
