June 9th Tuesday
Went to the front and give out fresh Bread. Sol some ham and coffee and sugar. Quite warm today. About dark there was some very heavy cannonading. Sounded as if it was near Fredericksburg. There was some very heavy guns fired
10th Wensday [sic]
Very warm today. Went to the front and sold two loades [sic] of soft Bread. Issued fresh meat. had coffee and sugar there for sale but did not sell much. wrote a letter to Marshall McDaniels. The twenty third left the brigade to go home this morning
