June 1st Monday
The wind has blowed quite hard all day. The dust is awful it blows in every direction business quite brisk. There is whiskey sold every morning now (except Sunday) before nine o’clock wrote a letter to my friend Irving Drake
2nd Tuesday
Cloudy with some rain Business dull. Whiskey is the only thing that sells well after Supper went over to the company. paid sixty cents for two pairs cotton socks. Fifteen cents for one [illegible] peanuts, ten cents apeice [sic] for small lemons
