July 19 Sunday Ive packed up and moved down to the river about 8 am Crossed at 11 - in the same spot that we did last year. On the 2nd of November. After we got across we traveled the same road that we did when we crossed before passed through Lovettsville and Wheatland where there is only a mill and two or three houses. Parked about a mile from the mill. It has been very warm all day. About ___ M. a large brick barn near the mill was burned down. It was a beautiful sight. It was ow~ed by a man named Wright It was a very large and well built. In one end was two large stones with the owners name and the names of the carpenter and mason which was Clark and Grubb. Issued one days rations.
