July 10 Friday Everything is cheap here large loaves of bread twenty five cents. prices 10¢ Eggs 15¢ a dozen and butter from twenty to thirty We have a first rate living and cheap enough too. In the afternoon went out after cherries and i must say that the e is more and larger cherries than i ever saw before. All kinds of fruit is plenty. If this country was to be compared with the state of Virginia I should say that this is the land of Milk and honey. to look down this valley is the most beautiful scenery that i ever saw. The supply train all came in at night. The men have three days rations from tomorrow morning.
