8th Wensday
during last night we
passed through ladingsburgh
struck the liberty turnpike at
Woodsborough. passed through
Mechanicstown Crigarstown and
Emittsburg. about daylight
we crossed the Momocacy on a
large and well built bridge.
I rode the captains horse
again last night. It rained
very hard during the night
we parked soon after day light
about one mile from frederick city
After breakfast went down
to the depot after stores. While
there it rained very hard. drew three days rations and Lieut
Bradford and Miller took them

right on out to the brigade which

is near Middletown. The people

seem very patriotic here flags

are hung across the streets.
