May 28th Thursday
It is very warm today Was paid about 11 AM at night a subscription list for Sergt John J Jones wife was circulated through our company and about fifty dollars was given. I gave one dollar. Gave two dollars to the mess today. paid Tom Moore one dollar for washing
29th Friday
Very warm today. Sales not very brisk. Supply train went to the Station today. They brought pork flour [illegible] There is nothing new today Sold my watch for ten dollars. The men all have plenty of money now and there is a great deal of gambling going on now
