7th Tuesday Was on the road all night and only got seven miles from westminister. About twelve the Captain got tired of riding his horse so he got in one of the wagons and I rode his horse untill morning. A little after day light we passed through uniontown and about half a mile from there we stopped to feed and have breakfast. After that we started on. fed the teams near middleburg. did not park to feed but let the teams stand in the road. In the afternoon we passed about seven hundred rebel prisoners. passed pipe creek mill. The roads are very bad and in some places almost impassable
