May 22nd Friday
Very warm all day had some Cartes de bisite[?] taken by Ira G. Owen. Got the watches from the jewelers paid $6.00 for them. IN the afternoon I was very busy packing my valise and getting ready to start tomorrow noon.
23rd Saturday
was very busy in the morning preparing to leave. Got my Cartes de bisite[?] and all the rest of my things. Left home in the one o’clock train. Got in newark at four. Left on the half past six train Irving Drake went to the market Street depot paid eight dollars for a ticket from Newark to Washington.
