that the following was wounded Col Brown in command of the brigade wounded in the thigh. Col Buck then took command and he was wounded slightly. Col Collett of the first Regt was killed Col Penrose is in command of the brigade now. HR Cook Capt and AD Camp was shot the ball passing clear through his neck The Adjutant of the second Regt was wounded also Capt Stout of Co G 15th Regt was wounded; Capt Lindsley of Co C was killed. Orderly Sergeant John Brown of Co C was wounded Sergeant Hick color bearer was eigher killed or wounded. Corperal [sic] James L McCarter of Co I was shot through the lungs. Lieut Sidney McCarter of the 23rd Regt Col Penrose is in command of the brigade
