boys got the rebels started and drove them about four miles beyond the hills. Our brigade was held as reserve about four o’clock PM the train started and went down to the river and right in front of Fredericksburg. Some of us went to the river but the guards on the bridge would not let us go across Saw a good many rebel prisoners. they was nearly all dressed in light gray clothes. there was one Lieutenant among them. parked on the bank of the river all night Capt Fitts was across the river and to the brigade He says that they are about four miles and a half from the river. Says there was not many hurt
