Feb 27th Friday
Nothing of importance today the weather is clear and nice quite warm. It is very much like spring Sent to Washington with Anderson for a cap[?]
28th Saturday
was ordered to go to my company at nine AM for to be mustered the fifteenth was mustered by HP book aid de camp There was brigade dress parade and after that was over each Regiment was inspected by Gen Torbert who was riding warrior (formerly owned by Col Hatch) who was presented to him by his Staff last night The brigade band played while the Gen. was riding through the regiments. It was most a splendid sight.
