25th Wensday [sic]
Very clear and nice today. Nothing of importance today. While removing a partition in the stable today the men killed thirty four full grown rats.
26th Thursday
during last night it commenced to rain and rained hard untill [sic] noon. When it quite [sic] the train went to the landing today. Lieut Bradford and Lewis Riddle and John Slockbower came back to day. L Riddle brought Grey Warnor[?] with him John Slockbower brought me a pair of drawers, pr stockings three [illegible] two handkerchief and some yarn and thread they was sent by mother
