28th Wensday [sic]
This morning it commenced to rain with some snow continued to storm all day but towards night it turned to snow. Part of the third and the fourth regt was paid today sent some tobacco to father by David Snook of Laffeyette [sic]
29th Thursday.
It had snowed hard during the night but cleared off this morning. the storm yesterday was the most cold and disagreeble [sic] storm that we have had since we have been out. The 15th was paid off today. I got six dollars paid my debts and bought half pound of butter and one drum of figs of the sutler of the 96 Penn snows is about six or eight inches deep
