Jan 12th Monday.
This morning more express boxes came the things that was in them was nearly all spoiled. we drilled as usual in the morning no drill in the afternoon today we went to work and finished our tent. weather very fine. Last night after roll call the mail came in I got a letter from mother also a red silk pocket handkerchief an almanac and some writing paper and postage stamps. we had pot pie for dinner Col Fowler arrived here tonight
