Jan 11th Sunday
Last night after we went to bed the mail came in. Theo got a package from home and in it was a night cap for me from Emma Jane Woodruff we had Inspection in the forenoon after noon went to meeting the text was Isaiah first chapter eighteenth verse there was prayer meeting at night. I did not go. I wrote a letter form Ell Smith about eight o’clock PM some of the express boxes for this regiment that have been on the road since we left camp Morris came in there was three for Co I In the afternoon we drew two days rations of flour and potatoes. We have made it a rule for each one to read a chapter in the bible every night.
