26th Friday
There has been nothing new in camp today. we drilled one hour in the forenoon and had dress parade at 5 PM.
27th Saturday.
I got excused from duty today to go over to the twenty seventh but i did not go. I got disapointed [sic]. drilled one hour in the forenoon. I was not on drill dress parade at 5 PM at night we drew one days rations of fresh meat. In the afternoon The Woodruff, Mart Kintner and myself took a walk out as far as white oak church it is about a quarter of a mile
