the leg and it was said that he would have to have it taken off there was quite a number wounded but i could not learn their names. on the right and left the infantry and artillery firing was terrific. It was a continual war nearly all day the center was not engaged after we got the rations to the rest of the companies we wraped ourselves in our blankets and laid down along the rail fence and slept all night. The loss in our regiment was as near as i can learn is as follows: Killed Wounded Missing
