during the night the storm broke away leaving the ground covered with about three inches of snow. and very cold. I wrote a letter for Ell Smith. We got a mail to day Robert Sylvester of Co E from Millstone died of camp fever. The smoke is awful everyone is complaining of sore eyes and being smoked to death we drew three days rations of coffee sugar beans salt and vegtables one of crackers and one of fresh beef wrote a letter to JB Woodruff.
