Thursday the 27th.
Today is Thanksgiving. There was to be two meetings today one a regimental and the other brigade but for some reason they was not held. In the morning i cut and carried wood to cook with. in the afternoon i did not do anything. There has been troops passing all day the fifth sixth seventh eight and eleventh New Jersey regiments went past. also sickles brigade and some regimetns that i could not learn the number. I saw Johnny Beach and Anthony Collins today. Ther was a mail come in today. In the afternoon we drew three days rations.
