24th.
Today there was Brigade inspection. the fifteenth was the last regiment inspected we got through about four PM. The brigade band was out and played during inspection. we was inspected by Gens. Brooks and Tolbrits [sic]. dress parade at 5 PM.
25th.
Mart Kintner James P. Kelly and myself was detailed for orderlies at the colonels tent.
26th.
was relieved about eight AM. during last night it rained quite hard but cleared out in the morning. IN the morning drew one days rations of salt beef. also got a screw driver from Sargent [sic] Cummim [?] in the evening we drew one days ration of whiskey for tomorrow which is thanksgiving. I saw Wm Mattison and Charlie Moran of harris light Cavalry today.
