19th Continued.
When we got at the Court house we turned to the left and marched about a mile in the woods. We was divided in divisions the first was on the outpost and the rest was held for reserve. We relieved the eighteenth New York. It was cloudy and it rained quite hard part of the day.
20th.
there was one days rations sent from camp out to us and we was ordered to stay out on day longer. I went In to Commissary headquarters for the Lietuenant about two miles I had just got back to the company when we received orders to strike tents and relive the out-­‐pickets which was about three miles. It commenced raining last night and was raining hard still. The mud was about half knee deep. We struck
