18th.
Reville [sic] at 5 AM. ordered to march at six but did not get started untill [sic] about half past six. The fifteenth Regt had the right of the brigade today. the marching was quite slow but steady we camped about half past 3 PM in a pine woods about half a mile north of Stafford court house we marched about fifteen miles to day. We passed through Garnierville. It was cloudy today and it rained some but not much.
19th.
The fifteenth was detailed for picket duty we started out about nine AM. We passed through the village of Stafford Court house the place consists of a court house, a jail and about six houses. The court house had the windows all broken out. The jail was open and those that wanted to go in an see it was at liberty to do so. 19th Continued. When we got at the Court house we turned to the left and marched about a mile in the woods. We was divided in divisions the first was on the outpost and the rest was held for reserve. We relieved the eighteenth New York. It was cloudy and it rained quite hard part of the day.
